Château Roquefort

The Château Roquefort winemaking estate is owned by the Bellanger Family and covers 240 hectares (including 100 hectares of grape vines) at the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers between the Garonne and the Dordogne, not far from Saint-Émilion. This magnificent region is known by some as ‘little Tuscany’. Hills and steep slopes around a limestone plateau offer the perfect setting for grape vines to flourish. The estate has been producing high-quality Bordeaux wines and exceptional cuvees for more than 40 years. It is a perfect region for wine tourism: the Entre-Deux-Mers wine road has various stages taking in vineyards, nature, gastronomy, heritage, culture and even bicycle touring. 60 hectares are dedicated to the planting and growing of Merlot vines. Winemaker Samuel Mestre is an agricultural engineer and oenologist who trained at the University of Toulouse.
