La Chasse des Princes

Founded in 1925, the Celliers des Princes winery specializes in producing excellent quality wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, AOC Côtes-du-Rhône & Côtes-du-Rhône Villages as well as Vacqueyras and Gigondas. They have a presence on every terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, mostly in the East of the appelation, where high quality terroirs of sandy soils and round pebbles are found. The three dominant grape varieties grown in these terroirs are GRENACHE, SYRAH and MOURVEDRE. Grenache is king as it represents between 90% and 95% of the blends. The winemaker, Thierry Ferlay, is a native of the Southern Rhône, and has been experimenting, improving quality and marrying traditional methods with modern twists for almost 10 years. The winery is committed to environmental responsibility—including offering recyclable packaging, highly efficient water use and solar panels to save over 140 tons of CO2 each year. Cellier des Princes has three key assets: exceptional terroirs, prestigious vineyards and hand harvested grapes. This ensures optimal quality for Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages and their IGP wines.
