Fattoria di Basciano Vin Santo del Chianti Rufina
Our Vin Santo is produced in very small quantities and in the best vintages only. The grapes are dried until the beginning of February. Fermentation and ageing last at least five years in small barrels called “caratelli” made of Slavonian and French oak. This is a classical dessert wine, matching with pastries and tarts perfectly. Antique gold color with intense and complex nose of dried fruits, vanilla, orange peel and incense. On the palate, it is sweet and full-bodied. Balanced with a long finish.
