Paolo Manzone Barolo 'Riserva'
100% Nebbiolo from the Serralunga region first produced in 2008 and only in the finest vintages. First produced in 2008 from a severe selection of the best fruit from the cru vineyard at and elevation of 350 meters, it is all stainless steel fermented and then aged in Slavonian oak large ovals (15Hl) for 36 months and 20 months in ceramic amphorae. Super, rich Nebbiolo nose of ripe red berries and a mix of oak-spice and sous-bois notes. The same complexity on the palate, which is full and well-balanced, with fine, firm tannins that will take a good while yet to meld into the wine. Nicely poised for long aging.
